Working with families to understand and overcome the health consequences of stress.

Who are we?

CHICOS is a team of researchers and community members collaborating with mothers and their children to better understand stress in immigrant families and work toward overcoming the harmful health effects of stress.

What do we do?

CHICOS team members visit families in the Nashville community to conduct surveys and take health measurements to learn more about stress and its impact in immigrant communities.

We are currently collecting data from families in Nashville, and hope soon to expand the study to San Diego and Mexico as well.
